No idea what to do?

Perhaps we can help!

General information

  1. Who is the Marketing Festival for?

For anyone interested in current and erudite information on digital marketing. The lectures and workshops are practically oriented to appeal to specialists in SEO, link building, PPC advertising, web analytics, content marketing, and social networks. Most lectures are extremely specialized, just like the workshops.

  2. What’s on this year’s program?

During October we’ll introduce 13 top speakers, 20 workshops, and 10 never-before-seen case studies.

  3. I do not speak Czech; will I find the conference helpful?

Definitely! All the guests as well as the presenter will speak English.

  4. When should I arrive?

If you want to really enjoy the whole event, come on Wednesday night and hang out in Brno till Sunday. We’re putting an event on every night, like a get-together dinner or an actual ball!

  5. When does registration start?

The main entrance to the Janáček Theater opens at 8.15 a.m. which is when registration will start.

  6. Will I receive a ticket?

Actually no, because you don’t need one! Just come to the registration desk on Friday morning and give us your name, surname, and maybe your e-mail address. The same goes for the workshops.

  7. Where will I sit in the hall?

Wherever you like. Besides, every time you change your seat is another opportunity to meet the new, interesting people sitting next to you, and from there you can grab a cup of coffee together during the break!

  8. Is it possible to watch the lectures later?

Yes, of course! The recordings of the lectures (including slides) are covered by the price of the ticket. We start working on them before the festival is even over, and you can expect them about a month after the event, but probably even earlier than that!

  9. I am from an EU country and registered for VAT.

Why am I invoiced including VAT?

We are obliged to invoice you including the VAT, although you might be used to invoicing that excludes it. The reason is there is an exception in the case of educational events, and the tax has to be paid in the country where the event takes place (Art. 54 of the Council Directive 2006/112/EC).

You can ask for a tax return afterwards at the Czech Tax Office in Prague. The main condition is that the VAT has to exceed 50 EUR in one year.

  10. What is the best time to arrive?

If you have enough time, definitely come on Wednesday. We’re putting together a warm-up party to get you acclimated and help you meet a lot of people. Last year we there was a really friendly atmosphere where both lecturers and attendants had dinner together, a few drinks in bars, and accompanied each other to the hotel to make sure they would not get lost.

  11. When should I leave?

The last lecture will end around 6 p.m. on Saturday, but the Festival will culminate with a spectacular afterparty at Fléda. Book your hotel until Sunday and you won’t regret it!

Tickets

  1. Sold out… Not a single ticket available?

No, not a single one. Even if somebody returns their tickets, the list of substitutes is a long one. We know it’s not perfect, but at least you can enjoy the Marketing Festival from the videos. Go to video.marketingfestival.cz, pay for the access to the video archive for this year’s Festival, and we’ll let you know when the videos are ready!

  2. What’s the deadline for canceling my ticket or changing the name on it?

You can cancel your purchase up until November 1, as stated in our Terms and Conditions. The name of the attendee can be changed no later than November 15.

Videos

  1. What about videos from this year’s Festival?

The videos will once again be covered by the price of the ticket. You’ll receive access to them about a month after the Festival, once we get them all ready to go.

  2. Can I watch the videos even if I’ve never attended #mkfest?

Sure thing! The videos from the previous years are for sale at video.marketingfestival.cz, which is where you can also pre-order access to the video archive for this year’s Festival.

Workshops

  1. I would like to attend the workshops; will they be translated as well?

Sorry, but the workshops will not be interpreted. We are planning more than 20 workshops with a total capacity of 500 attendants. However, a lot of them will be offered in English, so we’re sure that you’ll find something that suits you well. Workshop registration starts on our website in November and we will keep you informed about the details.

Registration will kick off on Tuesday, November 3 at 6 pm CET time. You will receive a login and password via e-mail beforehand. Use them to log in to the system and register.

There is a fixed price of 1,000 CZK per workshop, VAT not included. The capacity of each workshop is from 12 to 36 attendees, and in total there’ll be workshops for around 500 attendees. Quite a good chance of getting there, don’t you think?

No. Each workshop is mainly focused on the interaction between the small group of attendees and its leader (the speaker).

  9. May I also register my colleagues for the workshops?

No, this isn’t possible. Each attendee registers him/herself in their own profile.

  10. May I attend workshops even if I don’t attend #mktfest?

    No.

  11. I’d like to cancel my registration for a workshop. Is it possible?

  12. Is it possible to later swap the registered workshop for some other workshop?

No. Once you register, your information will be automatically sent to the lecturer. S/he may then modify the topic based on registered attendants.
